Kvyat escapes sanction after car fails scrutineering

Monaco Grand Prix – Toro Rosso's Daniil Kvyat has kept his P9 qualifying position after stewards deciding against taking any further action against him, despite his car failing scrutineering. Kvyat ended Q3 in P9, but came under investigation after the day's action due to his car failing the front floor deflection test. However, no further action has been taken after the team were able to prove to the steward's satisfaction that extraneous circumstances had played a part in the car's failure.
