Last minute penalties for Carlos Sainz & Kevin Magnussen
European Grand Prix – Carlos Sainz has been given a five place grid penalty ahead of the race at the Baku City Circuit. Carlos Sainz qualified in P13 on Saturday at the new venue, but will be forced to start from P18 after Toro Rosso elected to change his gearbox ahead of the Grand Prix. The rules state that gearboxes must complete six consecutive events before permission to change without penalty, but Sainz also took a new gearbox at the same point of the last weekend in Canada. Another man who got a penalty just before the GP in Canada was Kevin Magnussen, and the Dane will also take another one for Sunday's race in Azerbaijan. He qualified P21 but will start from the pitlane....
