Suspension failures cause Toro Rosso double retirement

Grand Prix of Europe – Toro Rosso suffered a double retirement in Baku due to suspension failures on both cars of Carlos Sainz Jr. and Daniil Kvyat. “We didn’t finish with any of our two cars because of rear suspension problems,” said Team Principal Franz Tost, “We will now have to wait to disassemble the cars to find out what the exact reason is, but it seems like the dampers got stuck, impeding the normal movement of the suspension.” Daniil Kvyat had a brilliant qualifying, starting the race from 9th on the grid, and was finally looking settled in the SRT11 since returning to the team in Spain.
