Sore Ericsson must wait for Sunday clearance

Marcus Ericsson says he is feeling sore after what he labelled a "huge accident" during final practice for the British Grand Prix. The Sauber driver lost control of his car at the exit of Stowe corner with 20 minutes to go in the Saturday morning session, crashing heavily against the tyre barriers. Although he climbed out of the car on his own, the Swede was sent to hospital for medical checks and did not take part in qualifying. Ericsson will need to undergo further checks tomorrow morning before he is cleared to race. "It was obviously a huge accident," said Ericsson.
