Hamilton unstoppable at British Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton won his home race at Silverstone in dominant style; the Brit converted his pole position into a glorious victory at Silverstone to delight the British crowd. Championship leader Nico Rosberg second but under investigation over radio messages following late gearbox malfunction. A heavy rain just before the start meant the race was forced to commence behind the safety car with standing water on parts of the track. Hamilton was quick to pay tribute to his garage in the immediate aftermath of the win. 'Great job this weekend guys, thank you for your continued efforts,' Hamilton said.
