Wolff thrilled by Rosberg contract extension

Mercedes AMG Petronas Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has described Nico Rosberg as the “real deal” after the German’s contract extension until the end of 2018 was confirmed on Friday Negotiations between the parties came to a conclusion when it was announcedthat the long-time Mercedes driver will remain part of the set-up for a further two years. Rosberg has taken all of his 19 race victories and 25 pole positions with Mercedes, and currently leads the 2016 standings, having finished as runner-up to Lewis Hamilton in 2014 and 2015.
