Hamilton defends middle stint tactics

Lewis Hamilton has backed the tactics he used in the middle stint of the Hungarian Grand Prix, which left the door open for Red Bull and Ferrari to launch an attack.  The British driver claimed victory from second on the grid, however the whole race wasn't all smooth sailing for him. Towards the latter stages of the middle stint, Hamilton's pace suddenly slumped; and his team-mate, Nico Rosberg was under a second behind. However, more importantly, Daniel Ricciardo was catching the duo at a rate of a second a lap; meaning Mercedes warned Hamilton to pick the pace up, else Nico Rosberg will get the priority on the pit-stop.
