Vettel first to test Pirelli's wider 2017 tyres

Sebastian Vettel will be the first Formula 1 driver to test Pirelli's new wider tyres when 2017 test work kicks off at the start of next week. The Ferrari driver has agreed to play a key role in the development of Pirelli's new rubber, and will run at Fiorano on Monday when Pirelli trials wet tyres. Vettel will run in a modified 2015 Ferrari for that first day of testing, while Haas driver Esteban Gutierrez will take over for the second day. The two-day test comes ahead of Red Bull running at Mugello on Wednesday and Thursday for a slick test, with Daniel Ricciardo expected to run there.
