Sergio Perez: 'We’re in a good position'

Sergio Perez believes Sahara Force India have a lot of potential after the opening day of practice for the German Grand Prix. The Mexican finished Free Practice 1 in sixteenth with a fastest lap time of 1:17.628, ahead of the Haas F1 of Charles Leclerc. In Free Practice 2, Perez improved massively and managed to climb up to ninth, a best effort of 1:17.148 putting him ahead of the McLaren-Honda of Fernando Alonso. Force India spent the morning at the Hockenheimring running the Medium compound as both of their drivers have brought along three sets of the compound.
