Rosberg beats Hamilton to Germany pole
Mercedes AMG Petronas Nico Rosberg secured pole position for his home race as he beat Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton during qualifying at Hockenheim. Rosberg recovered from an electronics issue on his first Q3 run to sweep to top spot with a time of 1:14.363. Rosberg’s lap proved to be 0.107s up on Hamilton, who drifted slightly wide at Turn 1 and locked up into the hairpin on his final effort. It nonetheless proved to be quicker than his benchmark as he rounded out an all-Mercedes front row. Red Bull locked out the second row of the grid courtesy of Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen, while Kimi Räikkönen beat Sebastian Vettel to fifth spot. Nico Hülkenberg was the lead Force...
