Hulkenberg demoted to eighth amid tyre mix-up

Sahara Force India Force India's Nico Hulkenberg has been handed a one-place grid penalty following a tyre mix-up during qualifying for the German Grand Prix. Hulkenberg originally set the seventh best time but it transpired that Force India used a set of tyres in Q1 which were electronically handed back after the final practice session. Hulkenberg consequently drops to eighth on the grid, with Valtteri Bottas promoted to seventh for Williams.
