Alonso hit with multiple Belgian GP penalties
Fernando Alonso will start the Belgian Grand Prix towards the back of the grid after a water leak during FP1 at Spa-Francorchamps forced McLaren-Honda to change his entire power unit. With Honda bringing an upgraded engine to Belgium having spent seven development tokens over the summer, Alonso failed to get out on track in FP1 after suffering a water leak. BACK TO FRONT: A history of F1 fight-backs! With the issue traced to a problem with the ERS, McLaren-Honda have opted to swap out the entire unit ahead of FP2.
