Hamilton prefers grid over pit lane start
– Formula 1 championship leader Lewis Hamilton says he was always keen to start the Belgian Grand Prix from the grid, rather than in the pit lane, despite the suggestion that the latter could be safer.Hamilton completed just one lap in Saturday's qualifying session, after amassing a 55-place penalty for taking on a host of new power unit components over the weekend.Asked about starting at the end of the pit lane, and avoiding any potential incidents, Hamilton made clear his belief that the benefits do not outweigh the disadvantages."I never like to start from the pit lane," said Hamilton."It means you have to wait for them [the other drivers] to come past you."By...
