Running the Halo was no real issue – Hamilton In the opening practice session at Singapore defending world champion Lewis Hamilton, McLaren ace Fernando Alonso and Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg became the latest drivers to run the Halo. Following the session Hamilton says that using the ‘Halo’ cockpit protection system in Singapore FP1 was “no real issue” during his first test with the design. The Brit has made his disapproval to halo cockpit protection clear in the past, saying he hoped using the Halo would be optional. “Running the Halo was no real issue,” Hamilton said. “I barely noticed it to be honest, just in my mirrors, where it blocked the view slightly.”...
