Three-way battle for Singapore GP victory Singapore Grand Prix 2016 could be a close, three-way battle for victory. Mercedes has dominated this year, but last season the German team mysteriously struggled under the city-state's floodlights. Red Bull, meanwhile, is very strong on the tighter street circuits, Nico Rosberg qualified on pole for the Singapore Grand Prix on Saturday. Hamilton will start third on the grid, also behind Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo. Last year's winner Sebastian Vettel had a qualifying nightmare in his Ferrari, as a broken anti-roll bar relegated him to the back row of the grid.
