Verstappen optimistic over long run pace
– Max Verstappen feels that Red Bull is looking "very strong" on its long run pace after the first day of practice for the Malaysian Grand Prix.Verstappen ended the day fifth on the timesheets, a second down on Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, but within a few tenths of the Ferrari drivers."I think both [sessions] were not too bad," said Verstappen."The first one was just to build up, especially with the new tarmac here, but it was a positive day – our short runs can be better, but the long runs were very strong."I was happy, especially in the long runs.
