Hamilton fastest, as Verstappen splits Mercedes in Malaysian FP3 In the third and final practice session, Lewis Hamilton made an impressive single-lap pace ahead of qualifying for the Malaysian Grand Prix. Hamilton's best lap at the Sepang International Circuit was just under half a second better than nearest pace-setter Red Bull's Max Verstappen. Hamilton's teammate and drivers' championship leader Nico Rosberg was third fastest, ahead of the Ferrari duos Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel.
