Mercedes reserves Formula E entry for 2018/19

©Mercedes-Benz Motorsport Mercedes has announced that it has signed an agreement with the Formula E promoter in order to reserve an entry for the fifth season (2018/19) of the FIA’s all-electric championship. Therefore, Mercedes may decide to become one of the maximum of 12 entries put forward by the series’ organisers to the sport's governing body. The announcement comes in the light of growing interest for Formula E among manufacturers, with Jaguar joining the zero-emission fray this year while McLaren has been awarded the tender to supply batteries to the entire field. BMW also recently announced a tie-up with Andretti with an eye towards a works involvement in the future. “We...
