Hamilton forced to miss Pirelli F1 test

Lewis Hamilton will not get his first taste of Pirelli's 2017 specification tyres as planned after he was forced to pull out of testing in Spain due to a 'sore foot'. The title contender was due to sample the new tyres as part of Pirelli's testing schedule ahead of the 2017 F1 season at the Circuit de Catalunya, but opted out of the test due to the foot complaint. As such, Nico Rosberg tested the tyres on Wednesday, with Mercedes junior and Manor Racing driver Pascal Wehrlein assuming duties today [Thursday]. With Hamilton yet to try the Pirelli tyres, it will be Wehrlein's second test in the modified Mercedes after driving at Paul Ricard last month. A quick reminder of the 2016 #F1 World...
