Renault announces Hulkenberg on multi-year deal
Nico Hulkenberg has joined the Renault Sport Formula 1 team on a multi-year deal, the French manufacturer confirmed on Friday. The German driver had agreed to stay with Force India until the end of the 2017 season in September of last year, but a push from Renault to hire him as its leading driver for next season has convinced Hulkenberg to leave his current team. Hulkenberg has spent five years at Force India in two stints, first from 2011 to 2012, and then from 2014 to 2016, having raced with Sauber during the 2013 season.
