F1 teams decide on Barcelona pre-season testing
The Formula One teams have finally come to an agreement on the 2017 pre-season testing location, opting once again to go testing at Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona. A suggestion from Pirelli to test at Bahrain has therefore been rejected. Formula One's tyre supplier Pirelli had pushed to move pre-season testing to Bahrain. The Italian manufacturer wanted to get teams there in order to get proper warm weather testing to evaluate the wider tyres in compliance with the 2017 technical regulations.
