Haas F1 too busy fighting “gremlins” to unlock pace at COTA
Haas F1 team principal Gunther Steiner says that his team was so busy fighting “gremlins” on the opening day of practice for the United States Grand Prix that it was unable to reveal the potential of its cars. In its first Grand Prix weekend on home soil, the American team ended the day 18th and 20th with Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez respectively. “We didn’t do good today, we had a few issues,” said Steiner. “We don’t know where we are [pace-wise] this weekend, but we had a very troubled practice. “We didn’t find any performance there, we basically fought the gremlins, nothing else.
