Red Bull 1-2 in final practice at Austin
Red Bull's Max Verstappen was fastest in the final practice session ahead of qualifying for the United States Grand Prix. Team mate Daniel Ricciardo was second fastest and on his behalf quicker than Kimi Raikkonen. The Mercedes followed in 4th and 5th, the result of neither driver setting a hot lap on the fastest supersoft tyres. The Silver Arrows are also unusually late to join the track action, waiting even until after the session was briefly red flagged following Wehrlein's efforts to park his Manor in the gravel trap, 17 minutes into the session. 6th fastest was Sebastian Vettel.
