FIA clamps down on moving under braking in F1

The FIA has announced it will clamp down on Formula 1 drivers moving under braking, ahead of this Sunday's United States Grand Prix. Defensive driving became a hot topic after Max Verstappen’s battle with Lewis Hamilton at the end of the Japanese Grand Prix. Mercedes initially protested the race result after Verstappen held off Hamilton to take second place but later dropped the complaint. Verstappen’s racing in general has come under criticism from some driving but while he has not been awarded any penalties, the FIA is now prepared to punish a driver changing direction under braking.
