Vettel pleads guilty on blocking Hamilton, but no investigation
Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel says he's fine if the Mexican Grand Prix stewards give him a penalty after he blocked Lewis Hamilton at the start of Q2 on Saturday. Vettel was warming his soft tyres by weaving through the stadium section and was totally oblivious of Hamilton's approach, the Briton passing him on the approach to Peraltada to set the fastest time of the session. When asked if he blocked Hamilton, Vettel admitted: "I did, but I had no idea he was coming. I was told too late. "It's my mistake, so if they give me a penalty then go ahead. Nothing I can do now."
