Hamilton admits Q3 'the worst session of the whole weekend'
Lewis Hamilton has admitted Q3 was his “worst session of the weekend” so far despite taking pole position for the Mexican Grand Prix. The British driver set the pace in first practice, before finishing second in FP2 and FP3. He looked comfortable throughout the first two parts of qualifying. During Q3, Hamilton set an early benchmark but narrowly missed improving on his time with his second lap. However, his first attempt proved good enough for pole position despite feeling it was his worst session. “Well, the long runs were really strong and as you said, practice was really good,” he explained. “Q3 was actually the worst session of the whole weekend so far....
