Alonso hints at WEC stint after Formula 1

– McLaren driver Fernando Alonso has indicated that he will embark on a chapter in the World Endurance Championship when he brings his Formula 1 career to a close.Alonso, 35, has started 272 Grands Prix, taking 32 wins and two world titles, during a prestigious career with Minardi, Renault, McLaren and Ferrari.Alonso will enter the third and final year of his current McLaren contract in 2017 and has previously commented that he will make a decision on his future after sampling next year's modified cars.During a video message in tribute to the retiring Mark Webber, shown during the WEC's end-of-season gala in Bahrain, Alonso dropped his firmest hint that he will one day switch...
