Williams announce departure of Pat Symonds

Williams F1 Team have announced that tech boss Pat Symonds will not be renewing his contract and will leave the team at the end of the calendar year. Symonds, who joined the Grove-based team at the end of 2013 following a consultancy role at Virgin-Marussia, had a three year contract which was due to expire at the end of 2016. In an announcement made on Tuesday, they revealed that the sides have not agreed on an extension of that contract, meaning Symonds departs on December 31st.
