McLaren announces 2017 F1 car launch date

McLaren has become the latest team to confirm the launch date of its 2017 Formula 1 car. The Woking-based outfit will unveil its Honda-powered challenger on February 24, the same day that Ferrari will reveal its car in Italy. McLaren made the announcement on Twitter, and is the fifth team to outline its launch plans.   The team is hoping to make a good step forward this season, on the back of a major revamp from Honda that it is hoped can help it close the gap to the benchmark Mercedes engine.
