EU Parliament backs F1 investigation

– Members of the European Parliament have backed calls for an investigation into anti-competition practices in Formula 1, following a vote on the matter.South East Labour MEP Anneliese Dodds called for an investigation in an amendment to the parliament's annual competition report, which was approved and put to vote on Tuesday.It passed by 467 votes to 156, with 86 abstentions, as per the BBC.Although not duty-bound, the European Commission could now take action.It comes 18 months after Force India and Sauber lodged an official complaint to the European Union regarding an "unfair" and "unlawful" governance and revenue system in Formula 1.Dodds feels that smaller...
