Intense programme sees Ericsson cover 126 laps

Barcelona Testing – Marcus Ericsson covered 126 laps in an intense schedule from his Sauber team on Wednesday. The Swede started off the day with aero runs with the sensors on his car, before moving onto a variety of stints on different tyre compounds, setting his fastest time of 1:21.824 on the supersoft tyre. He did a stint on the purple-marked ultrasoft tyre before the end of the morning session but could not improve his time. “It was very important that we could work through the planned programme without having issues with the car,” Ericsson said.
