Q3 will be "extremely difficult" in Melbourne - Sainz

Carlos Sainz admits Toro Rosso is set to have an "extremely difficult" time challenging for a spot in the final segment of qualifying in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix. The Italian outfit appears to be firmly within F1 2017's midfield battle on the evidence of testing, with Sainz ending up third-fastest on the final day of pre-season running on Friday. But the Spaniard, who made it to Q3 nine times last year despite Toro Rosso having used a year-old Ferrari power unit, believes getting into the final segment in Melbourne will be a tough ask.
