Ricciardo 'caught by surprise' in Q3 crash

– Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo says he was "caught by surprise" as he crashed out of qualifying for his home race at the Australian Grand Prix.Ricciardo, pushing in the early stages of the pole position shootout, lost control of his car through Turn 14 and slid rearwards into the barriers.Ricciardo thus ended the session without a lap time and is due to start the race from 10th, though there are concerns that he may need a new gearbox, which would land a five-place drop."I'm physically OK, but emotionally obviously a little bit disappointed!"
