Ricciardo hit with a five-place penalty

Daniel Ricciardo will start his home grand prix from 15th place on the grid after receiving a grid penalty for a gearbox change. Ricciardo's qualifying in Melbourne came to a crashing end when he spun at Turn 14 on his first flying lap in Q3. The Aussie spun through the gravel before hitting the barriers with the rear of his RB13. This has resulted in a gearbox change, thus earning Ricciardo a five-place grid penalty. He will start Sunday's race from 15th place on the grid.
