Sauber appoints Vasseur as Team Principal

– Sauber has confirmed former Renault chief Frédéric Vasseur as its new Team Principal, with the Frenchman to take up his new position at the Swiss squad after this weekend's British Grand Prix.Vasseur, who operates the ART squad in junior formulas, spent 2016 as Racing Director, and then Team Principal, during Renault's first year back in Formula 1 as a works team.However, Vasseur departed the manufacturer's set up in January, citing differences in the future direction of the team.Sauber, meanwhile, was left without a Team Principal in the wake of Monisha Kaltenborn's exit, prior to the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.Sauber has now duly confirmed Vasseur as Kaltenborn's successor and he...
