Ecclestone: McLaren are to blame, not Honda
Although Bernie Ecclestone is happy that Fernando Alonso will stay on at McLaren, he reckons the McLaren-Renault partnership won't be any smoother than that with Honda. Later this week, likely on Thursday, McLaren are expected to confirm that Alonso has re-signed for next season, agreeing a new £20 million per year contract. The Spaniard's new deal, the rumour mill claims, was ironed out after McLaren agreed a split with Honda and a new engine partnership with Renault.
