Ericsson grid penalty following FP3 crash

Marcus Ericsson is set for a five-place grid penalty after a new gearbox needed to be fitted following his crash in FP3. The Sauber driver lost his rear wing, but also severely damaged his gearbox as he lost control on the exit of Turn 19 and slammed into the wall. The suspension, though, is unscathed and Ericsson will be able to start in time for Q1 at the Marina Bay street circuit. The grid drop is not going to make too much difference given that Sauber have been at the back of the field all weekend and pretty much all season long.
