Vettel reprimanded for missing grid anthem

– Sebastian Vettel's disastrous Japanese Grand Prix race day has been rounded out with a reprimand after he missed the pre-race national anthem.Revised sporting rules for 2017 state that "14 minutes before the scheduled start of the formation lap all drivers must be present at the front of the grid for the playing of the national anthem".F1 drivers now have only eight minutes for their reconnaissance laps to the grid this season, rather than 15, which was aimed at helping them attend the anthems on time.However, Vettel, amid a spark plug issue in his Ferrari, was not at the front of the Suzuka grid when the anthem began, only joining his fellow drivers partway through the...
