Brawn wants privacy for Silverstone negotiations

Ross Brawn wants the talks about Silverstone to be kept a secret. It was a truly memorable weekend of Formula One we just enjoyed, but as it stands, the British circuit will be raced on for the final time, next season. A long-term contract was signed that saw the iconic circuit being raced on until 2026. However, the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC) have now realised that the deal they struck with Bernie Ecclestone, which included an annual 5% increment, would mean that by the end of the deal - the initial £11.5m fee would have risen to £25m. The two parties are unable to agree new terms and the BRDC broke the clause in the contract which allowed the deal to be terminated...
