Max Verstappen fastest in FP2 in Germany - FP2 results and summary

Max Verstappen completed a Friday sweep for Red Bull as he set an all-time track record with a 1:13.085 to go fastest in free practice two. He was fastest ahead of the Mercedes pair with Lewis Hamilton second and Valtteri Bottas third. A session that was slow to get going, Vettel was the first of the big names to get a lap in, going a second clear until the rest of the familiar faces got their times in. Max Verstappen’s second run on soft tyres was enough to go ahead of both Mercedes drivers who got their runs in a little after the first flurry of activity. Daniel Ricciardo eventually left the garage after half an hour, Red Bull opting to work on his race set-up with his grid penalty...
