Bob Bell scales back involvement with Renault F1 team

Bob Bell is to reduce his involvement with Renault’s Formula 1 team, moving aside from his role as Chief Technical Officer to take up a part-time advisory role. Bell re-joined Renault upon its return to Formula 1 as a works team pre-2016 and was tasked with establishing a solid technical restructure in anticipation of its gradual expansion. Under Bell’s tutelage Renault improved from ninth to sixth in the standings and this year holds fourth place, having already exceeded its 2017 points total. Bell was part of the technical structure during his lengthy first spell with Renault that included the 2005/06 title double, and also spent time working for Mercedes and Marussia. Bell...
