Vettel pinpoints Singapore as his season defining race
Many people believe Sebastian Vettel lost the championship when he ran wide in Hockenheim. Vettel disagrees. He pinpoints Singapore as the season-defining race. In Singapore, Lewis Hamilton produced perhaps his best lap of the season in qualifying making no mistakes. The Brit went on to take the full 25 points as Vettel finished third. In Mexico, Vettel was asked if he lost the fight in Germany or Italy. "None of the two, to be honest. For me it was more Singapore," Vettel told reporters. "I think from Singapore onwards we just didn’t have the pace to keep up with Mercedes for a couple of races and then obviously some other things happened on top that didn’t help...
