Helmut Marko on budget cap
Helmut Marko believes that plans for a budget cap in Formula 1 have not been cemented and are not confirmed. It has been widely reported that Formula 1 want to implement a budget cap of £150 million per team by 2021. The plan is to slowly bring that down over the next three years in chunks in an aim to make Formula 1 more competitive and equal. However, Marko has said that this plan is not in place and that the teams are still to agree on the terms. "We are still a long way from an agreement," Marko said to Auto Bild. "Basically, we agree with Ferrari and Mercedes in terms of numbers, but the other teams are still very critical....
