Alex Zanardi to race at Daytona despite injuries

Alex Zanardi looks to defy all odds by competing in the Daytona 24 hour race.  Zanardi had a horrific racing accident in 2001 where he lost both of his legs. However, the 52-year-old will race in the 24-hour race in Daytona. Zanardi will be driving a modified car which will see him use his hands to activate the cars breaks.  When speaking to CNN Zanardi said, "I've asked the engineers in Munich to spend some time investigating the possibility to drive the car without my legs," "This means that I have to do everything with my hands but I think we identified a set of solutions which enables me to do this.  "I'm comfortable in the car.
