W Series confirms 18-strong line-up
The W Series has announced its 18-strong line-up for the first ever season of the all-female racing series. The reward for winning the competition is $500,000 from a $1.5 million pot for the winner, with the series hoping to offer more exposure to female drivers. Tatiana Calderon will become the first woman to race in Formula 2 this year, but its predecessor, GP2, has never had a female driver in over 10 years of the series existing.
