'Unbelievable' pace drop-off hinders Magnussen's race

Bahrain Grand Prix – Kevin Magnussen was at a loss to explain why Haas were unable to take points away from the race in Sakhir, despite qualifying sixth. Magnussen qualified at the head of the midfield battle – and beat one of the Red Bulls in the process – to line up sixth for the Bahrain Grand Prix. He was beaten by McLaren's Carlos Sainz on the opening lap, but ran solidly in the top ten until he ran wide and fell back to tenth place, just before the pit stops. A lack of pace on the soft tyre hampered his performance, and Magnussen questioned the lack of pace over the team radio, with his team saying that they may resort to a one-stop strategy.
