Mercedes to run tribute to Niki Lauda on both cars

Monaco Grand Prix – Mercedes have revealed their tribute to their late Chairman Niki Lauda, who passed away earlier this week. The three time Formula 1 World Champion passed away on Monday after battling health issues in recent months, caused by complications from pneumonia which he came down with last July. Lauda worked for the Mercedes F1 team from 2012 until his death, acting as non-executive Chairman and also providing guidance for management and drivers. Mercedes have announced that they will run with a tribute to him on their car this weekend, with his signature and ‘Danke Niki' appearing on the nosecone, as well as a red star on the engine cover.
