Leclerc handed a reprimand over VSC offence

Monaco Grand Prix – Charles Leclerc has been given a reprimand for failing to adhere to the time requirements under the virtual safety car. The Monegasque driver – who topped the final free practice session – will face no grid penalty for the 2019 Monaco Grand Prix and escapes punishment after driving too quickly when the final free practice session was put under a virtual safety car. Ferrari were dealt a blow when Sebastian Vettel locked up and crashed out of FP3 at St. Devote. Instead of red-flagging the session, the circuit was placed under virtual safety car conditions.
