Lauda makes it four out of six in the Principality
©WRI Formula 1 put one of its favourite sons to rest yesterday, but 43 years ago on this day Niki Lauda's charge to the 1976 world championship title continued unabated at the wheel of Ferrari's beautiful 312T2, the Scdueria driver heading home an armada of seven Ford-powered cars in Monte Carlo. Mind you, the number of wheels making up the top three was 16 rather than 12 as Tyrrell's Jody Scheckter and Patrick Depailler completed the podium. The win was Lauda's eleventh career triumph in Formula 1 and his second at Monaco with the Scuderia.
