Ecclestone: We should have two championships in Formula 1

As Formula 1 owners try to map the future of the sport while trying to pacify and accommodate a myriad of interests – the teams being paramount of these – progress has inevitably been sluggish and apparently packed with compromises. The sport is cursed by the monotony of dominance by Mercedes, through no fault of their own but rather because their excellence has made their rivals look amateur.
